dc.description.abstract The present work investigates on the applicability of metal promoted sulphated zirconia catalysts for the hydroxylation of phenol under mild conditions. The percentage conversion and product distribution was highly sensitive towards the reaction parameters like the catalyst composition, reaction temperature, H202/ phenol ratio and the solvent used. en_US
